Car history:
2) Restomod 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. Great driver at a nice price! Nothing on this car matches, it was assembled from donor cars including 69 doors, 73 gill panels behind the wheels, and numerous custom touches on the body which features a custom tilt front end, square headlights glassed in behind custom billet grille. Driver quality paint, stone chips and some cracks, really could use paint to be top notch. Stripes are plasti dip and peel off if you don't like the design, it brings out the body lines and has a look of speed.
Non matching number drivetrain: is a 350 rebuilt (mileage unknown), runs great, chevy high rise alum intake, roller rockers, rebuilt heads, about 325 HP, headers, new holley summit one piece annular 600 carb (no leaks!!), new water pump, new gear reduction starter (light!), crinkle paint valve covers, wrapped headers, new 21/4 exhaust, rebuilt 350 turbo automatic, custom rad hoses and flex fan, car runs right on the thermostat even in traffic at 180.
Torq thrust wheels with hoosier tires, very solid no rust frame, great bird cage, this car has had an older frame off resto with new suspension bushings, sway bar end links, brand new brakes, rotors, braided brake lines, suspension cleaned and painted, underside of the car has lots of sweat equity in it to look this good!
The interior is presentable with nice seats with new covers, carpet is pretty worn, no holes, door panels are worn and have some cracks and bad spots, windows don't line up real well at top (both of which are ALWAYS down when I drive it so not an issue except for uncovered outdoor storage, top leaks. The top has a small tear but looks good, top frame works well,
The bad: It's an OLD car. Door panels rattle a bit, needs the factory tach and gas gauge fixed, a Sun tach is on the steering wheel column, oil pressure and engine temp gauge work ok. C3 resto mods are HOT now, fun to drive, and very affordable! No bid at starting $10,500 on December 10, 2016.
1) I have owned and drove this car every summer for 5 years. It has a reconstructed title, I assume from a wreck sometime in its past. The car was repaired by the time I bought it. I recovered the seats put over a thousand dollars in dash parts including new guages (The gas guage does not work) and painted it. It has all new calipers and rotors two years ago. The car runs and drives great, does not wear tires and has a nice appearance. The tilt front end was put on before I owned it. Motor 350 chevy small block. Transmission is 350 turbo Do not know the rear end gear ratio. Does not use any oil I change it every spring and it is always on the full mark. Usually about 2,000 miles a year. 59,000 miles. Colors from the owner. Built date is B27. June 30, 2009.
